Hotel zur goldenen Ente (literally, Hotel of the Golden Duck) is certainly a bit of an insider's tip among the hotels in Salzburg. Even Goldgasse, the road in which the hotel lies, is worth a visit and it is fascinating to stay in a 500 year-old building. For a hotel of its class, it is well furnished and maintained as it has been refurbished recently. The rooms all have en suite facilities and the hotel has its own restaurant, Gasthaus zur goldenen Ente, which comes highly recommended.
