Mariahilfplatz is famous for the Auerdult, Munich's most famous fair, that is held here three times a year: in May it is called the May Dult, Jakobidult in July and Kirchweih Dult in October. The quaint square is home to a new-gothic church, the Mariahilfkirche, several administrative offices and many a attractive sight. An ideal place to catch the local cultural fervor.
