IFEMA - Feria de Madrid

This is a huge exhibition venue located to the north of the city, less than 2 miles (three kilometers) from Barajas airport. It has become the first choice for dozens of national and international trade shows, including Fitur, Simo, Expo Ocio, Feriarte and the important contemporary art fair, Arco. There are 12 enormous exhibition halls, along with parking for 14,000 vehicles, various cafes, restaurants, meeting rooms, exhibitors' and VIP's lounge, conference hall and media facilities. The Palacio Municipal de Congresos (Conference Center), office buildings, luxury hotels, a park, and several important companies share the site. It opened in 1991 and has expanded to include two new exhibition halls and an extra 3000 parking places. In the spring, the center holds the annual Retromóvil (International Antique, Classic and Sports Car Fair).
