Consecrated in 1307, Saint Remigius Church in the heart of Bonn is recognized as the church in which the renowned composer Ludwig van Beethoven was baptized. The church’s baroque organ was destroyed during the Second World War and its surviving part can now be seen at Beethoven's house.
