This listed building is an absolutely beautiful old pub, well known for the largest range of malt whiskies and brandies in the city. Their famous lunchtime food menu always has a selection of local game (such as venison and hare) on offer as well draught beers include Boddingtons Bitter. The main rooms boast open fires in winter and the dark wooden panelling creates a warm, friendly atmosphere. Those interested in local history can also take look at the walls of the back corridor depicting scenes from the Peterloo Massacre which took place only yards away.
