The Zuiderpark, situated in the southern part of Rotterdam, is easily accessible for instance from the Oldegaarde. The signs to Restaurant Meerzicht lead to a garage from which you can enter the park. Adults and children will both be able to enjoy themselves here; for the kids there is a little playground and three 'nature-walks' are marked, one of them especially accessible to disabled visitors. Throughout the many trees in the park you may notice many nests, which makes the park indeed a favorite for birds. The lake and the other streams only add to the attractiveness of the park and on a fine day it is very nice to sit on the terrace of Parkrestaurant Meerzicht Zuiderpark. In another part of the Zuiderpark one can find the Kinderboerderij de Molenwei (children's farm) and Cultuur Historische Plantentuin (plant garden).
