The textile capital of Sweden is Borås, 60 kilometers (37 miles) north of Gothenburg. It is perfect for a day trip. The several museums in the town include a textile museum and a medical history museum. If you like shopping, a visit to the shopping center Knalleland, which has 65 stores, is a must. There are also several nice parks in town, or why not visit Borås zoo? One of Sweden's best adventure swimming pools, Stadsparksbadet, is also situated in Borås and contains such things as water cannons, wave pools and a water slide. To get here, take the bus or train from Centralen; they depart about once an hour and it takes about an hour on the bus.
