This understated yet elegant inn, built in 1843, is located in the Ansonborough district of downtown Charleston, and is within walking distance of all the city's attractions. The main house features six large rooms furnished with lovely antique pieces, some graced with Italian marble bathrooms. The carriage house behind has four English-country style rooms. Each room has a name, such as the Mandarin Room and Chrysanthemum Room that reflect the character of the furnishings. The quaint courtyard makes a nice place to sip a glass of complimentary wine.
