Named after the principle donor, the late Roscoe Maples, a member of the Stanford class of 1904, this $3.3 billion multipurpose facility was dedicated on March 1, 1969. This full-function pavilion serves Stanford students for all their event needs. Maples Pavilion is home to both the men's and women's basketball teams and the men's and women's volleyball teams. With a seating capacity of over 7200 people, this arena has hosted major games and iconic events like His Holiness Dalai Lama's lecture of compassion and secularism in 2010.
