Britannia Stadium, or "the Brit" as it is affectionately known, opened in 1997 to be the new home of the Stoke City Football Club. This stadium seats just under 28,000 and has also hosted concerts by headliners such as Elton John and Simply Red, in addition to the Stoke City Football Club games.
