Built for the Golden Gate International Exposition in 1939, this man-made isle offers spectacular views of the San Francisco shoreline. Nestled along the San Francisco Bay, Treasure Island was a part of the US Navy till 1996 and was named after Robert Louis Stevenson's novel of the same name. Renowned for its flea market and music festival, this island with the remnants of its art-deco structures, is a popular haunt for television and film shootings.
