The current incarnation of Northumbria University came about in 1992 after nearly three decades of being separated into the Rutherford College of Technology, the Municipal College of Commerce, and the College of Art and Industrial Design. Courses are available at the undergraduate and postgraduate level as well as part time and distance learning courses. The university offers programmes from law to graphic design and has state of the art facilities that house all the resources necessary for students to complete quality work. Accommodation is also available for most new UK undergraduates and new overseas students if applied for in good time. The campus also has three bars (Bar One, Red, and The Venue) that hold a hold a wide variety of events for students looking to take a load off. Check website for more details on courses and events.
