Brown's Island, a man-made island on the James River and near Haxall Canal, is the most popular tourist attraction in Richmond. The venue is host to a great number of music festivals and concerts featuring major local and national artists and bands. They have community events and outdoor activities during spring and summer time, and the crowd can go up to 8,000 people! The island has a pleasant atmosphere and during the night, the glass like river water plays the perfect backdrop against the starlit sky. The place is also available for rental or any private or commercial event.
