Gersten Pavilion is a huge arena that can seat 4,000 strong sports-crazy crowd. Housed in the Loyola Marymount University it has ample facilities for events like basketball and volleyball, which draw most of the crowd. Large parking space, locker rooms for players, meeting rooms and other recreational facilities make it a good venue for sports events. Gersten Pavilion also hosted the 1984 weightlifting competition and some boxing matches.
