Plaza de César Chávez is a small park located in Downtown San Jose. It is named after César Chávez, who was an American farm worker, civil rights activist andlabor leader. It hosts live music, cultural festivals, arts and crafts fairs, food shows, the official city Christmas tree, and open-air theater. During summer, it holds free concerts every Thursday.
