Cinémathèque Québécoise is a fantastic combination of old and new. The unique conservatory prides itself in preserving and promoting the film and television legacy of the world! Established in 1963, the institute boasts of an impressive collection of over 35,000 international movies, 25,000 TV series and various ephemera such as magazines, books, posters, photographs, scripts and production archives, all dedicated to the television and film heritage from all over the world. The place also features an interesting array of artifacts like old filming equipment, costumes, props and such. As such, Cinémathèque Québécoise is a melting pot of cultural cinema and a place where artists and filmmakers of all genres can learn about the evolution of world cinema, thus finding inspiration to make better movies.
