Lincoln Castle has a 900 year history behind it. Earlier a prison and an execution space, today the castle is a beautiful place and walks, guided tours and events are organized on a regular basis for visitors. Many of the castle's parts have been well-preserved and are open to visitors. The view of the Cathedral and the area around too is impressive and is worth the visit.
