UK is known to be a soccer obsessed nation and that pretty much explains the presence of massive football stadiums as this. Edgeley Park, home to the Stockport County Football Club and Sale Sharks Rugby Union club, is Stockport's gorgeous ground that has hosted some memorable sports encounters of all time. The ground was built in 1901 in typical Northern style and sleek stands with sophisticated facilities were added to it during the span of a century, the Cheadle End being the most notable of them. With a large capacity, Edgeley Park is one of the largest stadiums in Greater Manchester. It also acts a premier venue for concerts, conferences, fairs, exhibitions, weddings and banquets.
