Constructed in 1569, today this magnificent family estate is where the sixth Viscount and Viscountess Hampden reside. The house, Glynde Place, is an exquisite example of Elizabethan architecture with a church and a stable block adjacent to the house. Visitors get an exclusive peek into life as it was lived centuries ago, with some well-preserved paintings, furniture, artifacts and even articles of daily use. The gardens are well-tended and offer an excellent option for leisurely walks.
