Fri-Son began its journey in 1983 as a response to the lack of a cultural climate in Fribourg. With dark wave and punk rock punctuating the nights, this place quickly acquired its regulars however constantly under the scanner of authorities, it shut down in 1984. Not to be cowed down, it started to build relationships the authorities, with locals and the true aficionados of independent music. Today Fri-Son is well known not just in Fribourg, but throughout Switzerland as well. The staff are super friendly, the music is great and the atmosphere is matchless!
