Strasbourg Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMCS)

The magnificent Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain de Strasbourg is one of the largest modern art museums in France. The museum's building was designed by noted Adrien Fainsilber and constructed between the years of 1995 and 1998. A sleek glass and stone construction, the museum building has a striking presence siting alongside the River Ill. The museum contains roughly 18,000 works, including paintings, photography and sculpture. Some of the most famous artists showcased at the museum include Claude Monet, Auguste Rodin, and Pablo Picasso.
