ENTERTAINMENT VENUES, TOURIST ATTRACTIONS & SIGHTSEEING
The Surf Ballroom has been a Clear Lake fixture on North Shore Drive, since its establishment in 1933. Covering over 30,000 square feet (2787.09 square meters), the historic cultural space can accommodate up to 2,100 patrons. The place resonates with Americana and Rock 'n' Roll nostalgia and has hosted several well-known international artists and performers. In fact it is famously noted as the last performance venue of Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly and J.P “The Big Bopper” Richardson. For its association with “The Day the Music Died”, it has been accredited as a Historic Rock and Roll Landmark at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum 91407. Needless to say, any event showcased here is bound to be unforgettable.
