A grand movie palace that opened in 1927 in the era of silent movies with live music, The Temple Theatre for the Performing Arts continued to entertain audiences over the decades of talkies right up to having a 40' movie screen with digital and film projection capability. The building also houses a ballroom and an intimate speakeasy style bar on the second floor. Originally built as a Hamasa Shrine and as a multi-purpose facility to serve the community, the theater has been continously in use since it opened.
