Evangelische Stadtkirche is a magnificent 19-century church located in Karlsruhe. The Protestant church was constructed on the designs of architect Friedrich Weinbrenner and the plan commissioned by Großherzogs Karl Friedrich von Baden. The edifice adorns an imposing Roman temple-like architecture characterized by columned pillars on the facade. The church was majorly renovated after World War II by architect Horst Linde and dedicated by Bishop Julius Bender in 1958. Presently, the church hosts regular church services, community activities, youth-oriented programs and musical choirs.
