A fabulous example of Gothic architecture, Abbatiale Saint Ouen is known for both, its structural design and its original Cavaillé-Coll organ. Originally built as an abbey for the Benedictine order, its construction began in 1318 but was halted during the Hundred Years' War and the Harelle and was only completed in the 15th century. Known for its blend of Gothic and Flamboyant styles of architecture, the church is the epitome of the merger of two popular styles into one remarkable structure. Most of the features still bask in its originality with the stained glass dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries and the iconic Aristide Cavaillé-Coll organ of 1890.
