Teatro Municipale Piacenza opened its doors in 1804 when local authorities felt the need to preserve and promote the culture of the city. Hence, the theater was established and local budding artists got a chance to present their talent. Since then, the theater has been hosting dramas and comedies on a regular basis. Art enthusiasts from all over the city come here to appreciate performances by indigenous talent.
