Located to the north of Denmark's capital city, the Dyrehaven is rooted deep in history and attracts millions of visitors all year long. It was formerly a woodside park which served as camping grounds for the German army during the World War and lies adjacent to the Skanderborg Castle which belonged to King Frederik II. The Red Gate stands at the entrance of the park and has the emblem of the King on it. However, its during autumn that the visitors are welcomed to pleasant sights of deer fighting and the vast flora and fauna on offer.
