The beautiful Lund Cathedral was built in the 12th Century, and was for many centuries the seat of the Archbishopric that included all of Scandinavia. Today, the Cathedral is still a major center of the Lutheran church in Sweden, and also functions as a cultural and community center for church-based activities in the town.
