Housed inside a beautiful brown building, the grand Hornsey Library is a public library that boasts a stunning collection of books, journals and magazines. A special section is dedicated to children where they can pick up educational, fictional and non-fictional works, as well as comics. A financial crisis threatened to shut down this library in 1990 but locals rallied around it and saved it from closure.
