Located at the Main River, Würzburg is a beautiful German town to visit. It is known for having close to 100 churches, ranging in architectural styles from Renaissance to Gothic to Baroque. Some other main attractions are the Würzburg Residenz, the Fortress Marienberg and the Old Bridge. Würzburg suffered great damages during WWII, with its entire medieval city center being destroyed. However, over time, Wurzburg has been faithfully rebuilt and restored.
