The Chester Cathedral is a lovely community church in the heart of the city. Originally called the St. Werburgh's Abbey Church of a Benedictine Monastery, the church was built in 1541. Involving and directing the community, the church lives in worship of the Christ and the Virgin Mary. The church organizes a number of events for the community, whether music, worship or others. The church also plays a big role in the administration of the community. They also have programs of support for education and music. For more information, call ahead or check their website.
