The National Museum of Civil War Medicine is an intriguing museum that is involved in the research of medical and surgical practices during the American Civil War. The museum has many exhibits that have managed to recreate the medical issues during the war such as life in an army camp, evacuation of the wounded from the battlefront, a military hospital ward and more. There are also many surgical kits, tents, documents and other memorabilia of the war on display. The museum organizes educational programs, group tours, lectures and more for its support and dissemination.
