Náměstí Přemysla Otakara II, České Budějovice, 37001
Náměstí Přemysla Otakara II is known for being the one of the largest squares in the Czech Republic. The square is named after the Czech king and has its inception traced back in the 13th century. The Square is ornamented with a checkered floor, the famous Samson fountain and surrounded by beautiful arcade houses. Amongst these pristine structures that look like doll houses, is the Renaissance 1555 town hall with baroque elements. The square makes a spectacular sight especially at night when the place is lit up.
