Morris Museum of Art

Established in 1985, the Morris Museum of Art is the first museum dedicated to showcasing the artwork of the American South. The museum has over 5,000 pieces of art from Southern artists, including paintings, sculptures, and photographs. You'll find art pieces dating back to the late 1700s to displays of contemporary artists. Along with a stunning permanent collection, the museum shows temporary exhibits that ensure there's always something new to see. The Morris Museum of Art also has an impressive collection of research material on Southern artwork in its on-site Center for the Study of Southern Art.
