Spread over close to 80 acres (32.37 hectares), Johnstone Park is one of the oldest parks in Bartlesville, whose land was bought in 1903 at a time when kids splashed merrily in the nearby river. Unfortunately, no one ever swims there now, but the park continues to provide respite with its leafy trees and shaded areas. A bird sanctuary, picnic areas, boat ramps, a skate park, tennis courts, exercise paths, and an RV park are also part of this park.
