Städtisches Museum Schloss Salder was deliberately established to make known to the locals and tourists the culture of Salzgitter. You'll come across quite a few permanent exhibitions based on the local history, geology, pre-historic times and of course the art work from back in the day. What's also interesting is the technology section, where you'll certainly be fascinated by the different kinds of equipment and appliances used in industries and at home, in those times. Also, you can grab a bite at the museum's in-house Café-Restaurant, where everything is truly delicious.
