Augsburger Gaswerk was started up in 1915. Now the Gashouse is protected as a monument and event has its own museum and tour visits. The original kiln house, the electrical tower, the gas tank and other elements take you back in time when you visit the site. With Tours tell you of stories and legends while the sheer size of it will definitely intimidate you. You can even hire some areas to conduct private events, conferences and the like. Sprawling across eight hectares, the gas plant is a definite stop when you're in the city.
