The Leicestershire County Cricket Ground is the home-ground for Leicestershire County Cricket Club, which is believed to be in existence since the year 1744. However, it was only in 1878 that a cricket turf was laid on the 16 acre ground along the Grace Road and since then has been host to various local, county and international level cricket matches all through the years.
