Victoria Road, Saltaire, BD18 3JS
Spread across three floors, Victoria Hall is nestled in the heart of Saltaire, Victorian model village and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in 1869 by the village's founder, Sir Titus Salt it was originally called as the Victoria Hall & Institute. It was a recreational, cultural and learning center all rolled into one. Its architecture was influenced by the opulence of the 15th-century style. It features high ceilings and elegant, tall windows. It consists five lovely rooms. The Main Hall is the center of this wonderful building with a large stage and a sprung dance floor. Complementing it is The Evans Room on the ground floor with a wooden floor and intricate pale green trimmings. The York Room with its beautiful peach and pink decoration, and wooden flooring is the most sought-after venue for weddings and receptions. The Glen Room offers amazing views of the village and Shipley Glen. It has exquisite pale green adornments and is used meetings,seminars and weddings as well. The Dale Room is the smallest and is for workshops and intimate concerts. The Victoria Hall is run by the Shipley College for the Salt Foundation.
