One of the most outstanding examples of modern architecture, the Convention Centre Dublin, or CCD for short, is located overlooking the Liffey River. Built in 2010 by award-winning Irish architect Kevin Roche, this building features a glass facade that stretches the entire height of the building, thus providing a stunning view of the city. The center comprises 22 meeting and conference rooms, which also includes a 2,000-seat Auditorium and a 4,500-square meter (48,437.5-square foot) exhibition area. All of the venues in the CCD come appointed with the latest in technology, thus making for a first-rate venue. The advancement of the CCD, however, is not limited to its venues and service, as the structure is a carbon neutral convention center, the first in the world, which ensures its carbon footprint will be minimum.
