Popularly known as Tilly, Tilburg is a vibrant city which attracts thousands of tourists ever year. The sixth largest city of the country, the municipality of Tilburg is densely populated. The city is home to many prestigious art and science institutions like Tilburg University, Avans University of Applied Sciences and Fontys University of Applied Sciences. Touted to be an art center, the city has a lot of museums and art galleries. It is also popular among festival-goers as it plays host to annual events like Incubate, Festival Mundial, Tilburg Students Festival and Roadburn Festival. Benelux's fun fair is a famous attraction of the city which is also popular among the gay community for its "Roze Maandag" (Pink Monday).
