This former fortress and castle has a rich history dating as far back as the 10th Century, and is one of the few surviving structures from that period. At its peak, Borgeby Slott is believed to have been a prominent seat of power in the Viking age. Throughout the rest of its history, the castle was inherited by generations of Danish and Swedish nobility until it was finally auctioned off to a private buyer. The castle is currently open to the public for tours and also has a museum preserving the original artwork that adorned it through the years.
