The Telluride Historical Museum keeps the rich and colorful history of the region alive through riveting exhibits and informative programs. Interactive displays highlight the features of San Juan's geology, Native American culture, Telluride's boom-town past, hard rock mining, and the railroad history of the area. The outdoor mining exhibit showcases a mining sluice, tunnels, trams and ore cars, and assaying displays. Other immersive activities include gold panning, walking tours, and hikes through history. Winter activities include historical ski tours.
