To call the Winthrop Coliseum a multi-purpose facility would be quite an understatement. This excellent arena is one of the prominent facilities offered by the university, and is also one of the prominent venues in the city. Opened in 1982, the Winthrop Coliseum has since been hosting major athletic and entertainment events.
