The sunny city of Murcia is located in the south-eastern region of Spain. Rich in history, the region has many historical locations but the most famous of all is the Murcia Cathedral which is known for its Gothic and Baroque style architecture. La Manga, another tourist favorite is a 21-kilometer (13 miles) long stretch of sandy beach that splits the lagoon of Mar Menor from the Mediterranean Sea.
