Spread over an area of 11000 hectares (27181.592 acres), the Castle Park is a sprawling expanse of greenery surrounding the Colchester Castle. It dates back to the Victorian era and is a popular tourist spot in the city. The historical park is also home to a museum, a cafe as well as a bandstand and crazy golf facility. There is an ancient Roman wall that splits the park into Upper Park and Lower Park. Enjoy a fun picnic with family, or boating in the lake. There is a shared cycle path for bicyclists. Dogs are also allowed here.
