Nestled in Frankfurt's Westend, is the city's second tallest building, MesseTurm. 257 meters (843 feet) in length and housing 63 floors, this is the third tallest sky scraper in the European Union. MesseTurm is a commercial building that is home to various office spaces and is conveniently located in Frankfurt's banking area. The structure was designed by Helmut Jahn who gave it a contemporary look while blending in a typical regional flair; red sandstone was used in its construction. The structure was built to be on par with America's skyscrapers, and it definitely has lived up to this expectation.
