Staatsschauspiel Dresden or State Playhouse Dresden is a historical theater with over a hundred years of existence. Built in 1913, its design represents the Neo Baroque and Art Nouveau style of architecture. Since its inception, this state theater has always staged diverse performances and artists from all over the world have performed here. Classic plays like The Merchant of Venice, plays depicting ideologies of socialism and other similar acts have been presented here.
