More than just a sports venue, the Sydney Showground Stadium is an integral part of the Sydney Olympic Park. It not only hosts the Greater Western Sydney Giants and Sydney Thunder, representing professional Australian rules football and cricket leagues respectively, but the stadium also puts on a number of cultural events each year. Particularly beloved are the annual Sydney Royal Easter Show happenings held here. Other events have included massive music festivals and exciting motorsport shows. Since its opening in 1998, the Sydney Showground Stadium has provided premier entertainment for both locals and visitors to the area, making it a top venue in western Sydney and beyond.
