Marktplatz (Market Square) is a melting pot of cultures in Schopfheim. This square is surrounded by historic buildings, with the Rathaus (town hall) being the most prominent one. Numerous impromptu and organized cultural events and festivals are held here. Head to this square with a large group of friends and enjoy the colorful festivities during an event. On some days you can watch parades with people dressed in traditional garbs and purchase local produce at the temporary markets.
